European Network of Living Labs

The 1st CoSpaces Annual Conference, 26th & 28th September 2007, Leiria, Portugal

The conference will  take place at the School of Technology and Management which is at an important  industrial centre and historical city of Portugal, Leiria, distant around 1 hour from Lisbon. This School provides education in the sectors of technology and  management for more than 5000 students and is one of the five Schools forming the  Institute Polytechnic of Leiria. VRAP is designed to be a major forum for the Scientific exchange of multi-disciplinary and  inter-organisational aspects of virtual and physical prototyping and related areas.

On October 2003 the Institute Polytechnic of Leiria hosted the 1 st International Conference on Advanced Research in Virtual and Rapid Prototyping. The Conference carried out a full paper submission.

Nordic livinglabbers join their efforts!

Nordic Network of User-Driven Innovation and Livinglabbing (ENoLL/Nordic) has initiated. The network promotes user-driven innovation and livinglabbing in Nordic countries among industry, academia and public sector and it is in close liaison with the European Network of Living Labs. The network operates within Nordic Innovation Center's User-Driven Innovation Projects portfolio (www.nordicinnovation.net) and it's orchestrated by CKIR/HSE (http://ckir.hkkk.fi).

During 2007-2008 ENoLL/Nordic organizes 10 workshops and compiles two guides for open delivery: one guide for Living Lab service providers and one for of their customer organizations.  The Nordic Strategy Group for Open Innovation and Living Labs will be launched by the network.

Living Labs key events, 16 & 17 October 2007, Brussels

The registration is now open for the key European Living Labs events of this autumn, on 16 & 17 October 2007 in Brussels:

Living Labs Open Innovation Community interactive day on Tuesday, 16/10 at 10:00-18:00 hrs. This event is organised by these Living Labs related projects, funded by the European Commission: CoreLabs, CLOCK, OpenFutures, InnoSME, Collaboration@Rural, CoSpaces, ECOSPACE, Laboranova and WearIT@Work.

Co-creative Research, Development and Innovation to Connect the Lisbon Strategy to People:  Launch of the 2nd wave of the European Network of Living Labs on Wednesday, 17/10 at 09:00-13:00 hrs. This event is a Portuguese Presidency roadmap event, supported by the Living Labs Portfolio Leadership Group, and the EC funded Living Labs related projects.

The registration for these events will be pretty soon in www.openlivinglabs.eu .

For the said Living Labs related projects, there will in addition be a portfolio review on Monday, 16/10 at 10:00-18:00 hrs and Wednesday, 17/10 at 14:30-18:00 hrs. Invitations for this review will be sent to the project coordinators.
